RASTAR Pagani Zonda R, you should not miss this!

The Pagani Zonda R is the ultimate Zonda made for track. It has a 6.0-liter AMG V12 engine that produces 740 horsepower, top speed is 218 mph and it’s limited to only 15 cars. It became the fastest car at the Nürburgring in 2010 by beating the Ferrari 599XX’s lap time by 11 seconds. Ungodly sounding naturally aspirated V12 engine, carbon fiber bodywork, very lightweight chassis, slick tires made the Zonda R a masterpice.
Even though Rastar just released this Zonda R remote control car in 1:14 scale, I’ve had it for more than 4 years because it was made by Mondo Motors who are the Italian distributors of Rastar products. So, it’s the same car made by same materials, but comes in a different packaging. That’s it.
Well, as you can clearly see, it doesn’t have an interior. No seats, no steering wheel, no dashboard. Nothing. Just black windows which can’t be seen through. So, it isn’t that well detailed on the inside. Let’s move on to the exterior then.
When I ordered my Zonda R from eBay, the picture showed that it had gold wheels but when I received mine, it had yellow wheels as you can see in the pictures. I was kind of disappointed but it’s an R/C car and I wanted a Pagani for my collection badly so those wheels didn’t stop me from being a happy Zonda owner. Mine’s black but it’s available in both black and white color now. It has all the official Pagani and sponsorship logos over its body just like the real car. It has a fixed rear wing, air scoops, side mirrors. But it doesn’t have any headlight. Not a single one. And it comes with semi-slick tires, not full slicks. I wish it had come with full slick tires, but never mind.
It doesn’t come with rechargeable batteries and that’s a shame because it’s a fun thing to play with. I tested it a long ago and it beat a Rastar Aston Martin DBS by 2 seconds on a lap on our roof even with 30 minutes old batteries. So, you can say it’s pretty fast as a toy grade R/C car. I hope Rastar will release a newer version of this car with built-in USB charging option so that you won’t have to buy new batteries every single time you want to RACE this thing.
For collecting or having fun, it’s a nice toy to have. They could’ve made it better, but for 30-40 dollars, you couldn’t ask for more. It’s a beauty from every single angle. I like this little Zonda.
